Zhangjiajie Travel Reviews: How They Are Collected

Traveler feedback is collected after the trip, checked against the booking and published as written — without rewriting, without incentives, and without hiding the critical ones. This page sets out how that works, and where else our trips are reviewed.

✓ Published as written

✓ Checked against bookings

✓ No paid reviews

HOW IT WORKS HERE

A review page is a promise about what was left out

Any review page can show five stars. What makes one worth reading is what the site does with the reviews that are awkward — the ones about the rain day, the missed slot, the guide who was not the right match.

So this page is written the other way round: instead of a wall of praise, it sets out the rules the reviews are held to. The rules are short, and each one is a limit on us rather than a claim about you.

STEP 1 Received after the trip Asked once the trip is over, never in front of a guide. STEP 2 Checked, not edited Matched to the booking and the dates. Wording untouched. STEP 3 Published as written Critical reviews stay up beside the positive ones. The rules below are limits on us, not claims about your trip.
From a finished trip to a published review — nothing is rewritten along the way.

🚫

Not rewritten or trimmed

Reviews appear in the traveler’s own words. Long ones are shown in full rather than cut, and awkward phrasing is left as it is.

🎁

Not bought or rewarded

No discount, upgrade or refund is offered in exchange for a review, and leaving one is never a condition of a trip.

⚖️

Not filtered by tone

Critical reviews are published alongside positive ones. Removing a review because it is unflattering is not a thing this site does.

PUBLISHED REVIEWS

Traveler reviews — verified and in their own words

Every review below carries the trip it refers to, the country it came from and the month it was written, so it can be weighed against the trip you are planning.

Reviews are being collected for this page

This site does not fill its review section with sample text. The wording below will be replaced with individual reviews as they are verified against the trips they describe — a review is only shown once the trip, the dates and the traveler’s consent to publish have been confirmed. If you have travelled with us, we would rather have your account of it than another five stars.

1

Awaiting a verified review from a guided trip

2

Awaiting a verified review from an independent traveler

3

Awaiting a verified review from a multi-day route

Tell us which sites you visited and the month you travelled — that is all we need to match it to a booking.

SECOND OPINIONS

Where else to read about us

Reviews on a company’s own website are worth exactly as much as the company’s willingness to publish the bad ones. Independent platforms are the check on that, so they are listed here rather than kept off the page.

If a platform profile is not live yet, the honest answer is that the reviews are not there to read. Ask us directly for the state of things — including the trips that went wrong — and we will tell you what we have.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Reviews FAQ

Do you publish every review you receive?

Any review that describes a real trip is published, positive or not. The only things removed are personal details, abusive language and content unrelated to the trip — and removal never happens just because a review is critical.

Are reviews edited or shortened before publishing?

No. Reviews appear as the traveler wrote them. Where a review is long, it is shown in full rather than trimmed, and grammatical slips are left alone.

Are any reviews paid for or rewarded?

No. No discount, upgrade or refund is offered in exchange for a review, and travelers are not asked to leave one as a condition of their trip.

Can I send a review if I only used the guide pages?

Yes. Feedback from travelers who planned the trip themselves is useful too — it is how the guide pages get corrected. Write to us at any time, and say which pages you used.

Why is there no star rating or score on this page?

Because a score is only meaningful once there are enough verified reviews behind it. Until then, individual reviews tell you more than an average would, so the page shows wording rather than a number.
